Is there a simple way to check our meal is balanced or not?

This is known as eat well plate. Divide our serving plate into three portions. Fill one portion with rice, chapatti, oats etc. Second one with vegetables/fruits and the third portion with protein rich foods like pulses, fish, meat, milk products etc. This proportion will roughly help us to make sure we are eating a balanced meal for our breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In people with diabetes the proportion will change slightly…. Detailed information on modified eat well plate for diabetic patients … to follow in the next series.
